 The large Rhododendron park away from Bremen’s city centre is, as its name suggests, planted with hundreds of species of Rhododendron plants. It also has many azaleas and around 1,000 other varieties of plants. In the summer, the wash of colour is spectacular. In the centre of the park, the Botanika centre exhibits information on Rhododendrons in their natural habitats in the Himalayas and Borneo, as well as an authentic reconstructed Japanese garden with cultivated Rhododendrons.
